Their old visual brand identity, as it relates to the logo, was created through an affordable do-it-yourself solution. It was important to Mindy, owner of the practice, that they keep the look and feel of the new logo consistent with their previous branding; they liked certain elements of the old look, and moreover, they were known in the medical industry by these old elements.
The new logo had incorporate a leaf(s) as the base of the new look – this was the extent of the project requirements. It was our goal to develop and deliver a new logo that would showcase the wellness aspect of the practice, while delivering a fresh and natural look consistent with the medical industry.
We set out to make sure the new logo was constant with the industry; while still being different. The acupuncture industry is often misunderstood by the general public. It’s often viewed with a pessimistic level of cynicism. It’s this mystical aura that bleeds through the brand image of practices in this industry. By avoiding this traditional ‘spiritual’ approach, we were able to deliver a unique logo that was true to it’s industry including a medical finish.
